View from an Oklahoma Mountaintop

Yesterday afternoon, I hiked halfway up the mountain behind my mother’s house with my brother and my nephew. Here are a couple of pictures from that trip. One is the cave that is halfway up the mountain in a canyon and the other is a picture overlooking the valley below. It’s an awesome place.

  1. I went to seminary in Kentucky and loved going down to Cumberland Gap. It was sort of a homey place. Is the Cumberland Plateau connected to that area?

  2. Yeah, Matt, this highland system stretches (off and on) from northern Alabama up through middle Tennessee and into Kentucky and W. Virginia. Small world, huh?
