So…does anyone know why I’ve received so many hits for a lectionary passage the week after it appears in the lectionary? I’ve had several hits from people searching for Luke 14:1, 7-14.
The same thing happened the last time I posted a sermon based on a passage from the lectionary, and it always happens a week late. Anyone else have the same experience? Any clue as to why this happens? Are there folks out there who preach a week behind so they can get fresh stuff from blogs etc? 😉
No idea . . . but if I ever seek ordination in the UMC I will steal your responses to those questions. Just so you know.
Andrew warned me about people like you! 😉
When I lectionary blog on the gospel readings, I tend to get a lot of hits (for my site) on Thursday – Saturday. Not nearly so much when I blog on OT or epistles.
I assume this is preacher Googling in search of ideas of different takes.
I have not had many hits after the appointed Sunday though.
